Laplander Sentenced For Break-In And Car Theft

Houghton, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An Upper Michigan man has been sentenced in connection with a break-in and car theft.

37-year-old Isaac Laplander of Calumet was sentenced today in Houghton County Circuit Court.

He was sentenced to 2 to 10 years in prison for Breaking and Entering with Intent, and 2 to 5 years for Unlawful Driving Away of a Vehicle.

The sentences will run concurrently and he was credited for over 270 days served.

He was arrested for a break in of an auto supply store and the theft of a vehicle from a car dealership in Calumet last spring.

Laplander plead guilty to the charges in January in a plea agreement.
