Lansing, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An Upper Michigan lawmaker has been named to a special committee in Lansing investigating the Flint Water Public Health Emergency.

State Representative Ed McBroom of Vulcan will serve as Vice-Chair of the committee announced today by leaders in the Michigan House and Senate.

The bipartisan panel features three members from each chamber and will review findings surrounding the Flint water crisis and take testimony on what led to the situation.

It will also explore potential policy solutions to prevent similar disasters in the future.
