Both the Buena Vista district and the Inkster School District, could not obtain financing to get them through the school year, so state and intermediate school district officials will work to dissolve the districts and reassign the students to other districts.

Both districts have suffered from significant deficits and enrollment decline in recent years and have not be able to turn things around.  They had a 5 p.m. Monday deadline to come up with private financing but were not able to do so.
