Name Released in High-Speed Chase

Great Lakes Radio News UpdateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)The name of the man arrested yesterday by State Police at the Negaunee Post following an early-morning high-speed chase has been released.

22-year-old Robert Tyler Johnson of Wilson was charged with Fleeing & Eluding Police and Operating While Intoxicated after a chase that started around 4 a.m. yesterday on US-41 near Dukes Road in Skandia Township when Troopers attempted to stop him for a speeding violation.

Johnson was arrested on US-2 near County Road 511 in Delta County’s Masonville Township after he lost control of his motorcycle on the gravel shoulder while he was attempting to turn around.

Johnson is currently lodged in the Marquette County Jail on $40,000 cash bond.
