Foreclosed Property Auction Coming Up
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Properties in four Upper Peninsula counties are among nearly 700 properties being auctioned off by the state next week.
The properties have been foreclosed due to delinquent property taxes. The Department of Treasury says parcels located in Dickinson, Iron, Keweenaw, and Luce are included in a portion of the properties that will go to auction on Tuesday at the Ramada Inn in Grayling. The remaining properties will be auctioned on Wednesday at the Ramada Lansing Hotel & Conference Center.
Registration for interested bidders will begin at 9 a.m., each day, with auctions scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Officials say the parcels may be vacant residential or commercial lots, or may have occupied or abandoned structures on them. More information on the auction is available at michigan.gov/propertyforeclosures.
