Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Negaunee Post responded to a traffic accident yesterday afternoon that injured two people.

The accident happened just after 11:00am on US-41 west of M-95 in Humboldt Township when a westbound 2004 Dodge Stratus, driven by 19-year-old Taylor Dillinger of Chassell, struck a trailer along the side of the highway that was carrying a load of lumber.

Troopers say the trailer was on the shoulder due to a flat tire, and Dillinger was distracted, causing her vehicle to swerve over the white line.  Dillinger had some minor injuries in the crash and she was treated at the scene.

A passenger in the vehicle, 18-year-old Cody Goodreau of L’Anse was taken to MGH for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

Dillinger was cited for careless driving.
