Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Lundin Mining Company has secured the money it needs to complete the Eagle Mine project in western Marquette County.

Toronto, Ontario-based Lundin says it has restructured a line of credit to allow for as much as 600-million dollars in total debt on the mine.

The company says 200-million of that has already been used to cover part of the 315-million it paid Rio Tinto to buy the  mine earlier this year.

Lundin CEO Paul Conibear says production of copper, nickel and other metals is expected to begin in the  fourth quarter of 2014.
