Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team was contacted by the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department yesterday in response to a meth dump site found in Marquette Township west of the Target store.

A teacher at The North Star Academy was walking on a trail with a group of 7th & 8th graders when they found a pile of smoldering debris on the trail.

The debris turned out to be components of a meth lab and authorities called in UPSET members who disposed of the items safely.  No suspects have been identified in the case.
