Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette County Sheriff’s Deputies were called out to a single-vehicle traffic accident in Negaunee Township last night.
The accident happened just before 11:00 p.m. on County Road 510 about a half-mile from Hardwood Lane. Deputies say a northbound 2000 Toyota Tacoma pickup, driven by a 53-year-old Negaunee man, went off of the east shoulder of the road and struck a tree.
The man, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment.
The accident remains under investigation and alcohol may have been a factor. No name has been released at this time.
