Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) –  Marquette City Police report the discovery of remnants of a meth lab near Division Street and Pioneer Road.

Officers found some burned debris yesterday in a sand pit and a closer inspection found the makings of several one pot meth labs.

Police say meth users frequently burn used components after they are done making the meth.

Citizens are being warned to stay away from the sites if they find one and to call police to report the scene.

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team is handling the clean-up and is assisting in the investigation.
