Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The National Weather Service in Negaunee Township has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow through 5:00 p.m. tomorrow.

A mix of rain and snow this afternoon over the western Marquette County highlands and will change to all snow by later tonight across the county.

The heaviest snowfall will happen late tonight into tomorrow morning.

Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will also develop overnight, especially near Lake Superior.

Less than 2 inches of snow is expected along the Lake Superior shoreline with 3 to 6 inches to the west in higher terrain areas.
