Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The City of Houghton could see a new city manager selected by early December and on the job in February.
Mayor Bob Backon says a selection committee will begin its work soon to see who will replace longtime manager Scott MacInnes in the position.
MacInnes announced his retirement earlier this month.
Backon said that no less than four cities in the Upper Peninsula are looking to fill city manager positions this year.
