Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette City Commission has selected a traffic flow plan for the US-41/M-28 corridor adjacent to the new hospital construction project in the city.

The Commission voted 5-1 yesterday to move forward with a plan for access from the highway to the Duke LifePoint hospital campus being built on Baraga Avenue that involves the construction of a series of roundabouts.

Commissioner Sara Cambensy was the lone dissenting vote.

The Commission and city staff had explored several designs including the roundabouts, bridges and other alternatives over the last several months before formally adopting a final plan yesterday.
