Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Upper Peninsula Power Company says crews are continuing to work today to restore power in areas affected by the storm that moved across the region.

The company says that there are a few remaining outages being worked on in the Houghton area that should be completed later today.

UPPCO says there were about 3,500 customers in their service area of Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga and Marquette counties that lost power due to heavy, wet snow knocking down tree limbs and power lines since early yesterday.
