State Police In Wakefield Looking For Stolen Guns

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Wakefield Post are looking for the public’s help in their investigation into the theft of some firearms.

Troopers and the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department say if you have purchased or obtained any weapons from a private dealer recently, you are asked to check the serial numbers.

Specifically, authorities are looking for a Beretta 30-06 and a.358 Caliber Browning.

Police say if you are in possession of the guns, which were stolen from the rightful owner recently, no charges will filed against you.

You can also drop the weapon off at the Wakefield State Police Post of the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office.

A reward is being offered for the return of the stolen firearms.
