Lake Effect Snow Coming To Marquette County

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The National Weather Service in Negaunee has issued a Lake Effect Snow Advisory for heavy lake effect snow which is in effect from 7 pm this evening to 3 pm est Wednesday.

Scattered lake effect snow showers will increase in coverage and intensity this evening as northwest winds become north.

Moderate to occasionally heavy snow showers will then continue into Wednesday afternoon.

Plan on snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches tonight with an additional 2 to 5 inches Wednesday.

Look for the greatest accumulations in the higher terrain west of Marquette.  Roadways may become hazardous and travel could be difficult.
