Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Negaunee Post say alcohol and excessive speed were factors in a single-vehicle crash early this morning in Marquette County’s Tilden township.
The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on County Road 581 near County Road PPR when a southbound car left the roadway, hit a telephone pole and rolled over several times, hitting multiple trees.
Two people in the car, 53-year-old Brian Meyers of Ishpeming and 23-year-old Michael Carter of Gwinn, were taken to UP Health System-Marquette for treatment.
There is no word on their condition at this time, and the accident remains under investigation.
