Marquette, MI –  (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan U.S. Representative Mike Rogers says he’s concerned about security on the HealthCare.gov website.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced Sunday that the Affordable Care Act enrollment website was improved by a series of hardware upgrades and software fixes.

But Rogers, who chairs the House Intelligence Committee, told NBC’s “Meet the Press” even though the website may be running more smoothly, he’s more concerned with privacy and security issues.

He says security on the HealthCare.gov website doesn’t even meet the minimal standards of the private sector and he’s concerned that Americans’ personal information could be exposed.

The HealthCare.gov website has been hit with technical issues since it launched in October.

The White House has vowed to solve the problems and says everyone who needs insurance under the healthcare law will get it.
