Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Cliffs Natural Resources has announced a significant employee contribution to the 2013-2014 Marquette County United Way campaign.
Cliffs’ employees in Michigan have pledged just over $49,000 to the campaign. Combined with a Company match of 50 percent of the amount pledged, the total amount contributed and pledged to the United Way is $73,612.50.
The goal this year for the United Way annual campaign is $425,000.
Cliffs’ donation and pledges account for more than 17 percent of that total.
Barb Meyer, Director of Operations for United Way of Marquette County says the continued generosity of Cliffs and their employees allows the agency to help improve the lives of those in need through United Way fund.
