Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan’s unemployment rate in November edged down by two-tenths of a percentage point to 8.8 percent.
According to the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget, both total employment and the number of unemployed decreased over the month, pushing the state’s labor force downward.
Michigan’s jobless rate in November was two-tenths of a percentage point below the state’s November 2012 rate of nine percent.
The national unemployment rate last month was seven percent.
