State Police Arrest Juvenile After Car Chase

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Iron Mountain post and the Iron Mountain Police Department apprehended one person yesterday after a vehicle chase yesterday.

The incident began arouns 9:40am when authorities responded to a report of a stolen vehicle being chased by Wisconsin police that was close to crossing the border near Niagara into Michigan.

Iron Mountain police chased the suspect through the city and State Police apprehended the suspect after he rammed a State Police vehicle on Moon Lake Road in Breitung Township.

The suspect vehicle left the roadway after the impact and rolled over.

The driver, a 15-year-old juvenile from Wisconsin, was taken into custody and several felony charges are currently being sought.

The driver and Troopers sustained some minor injuries in the crash.
