Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Charlevoix County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that a second body has been found at the scene of the crash of a small airplane near Boyne City early Monday.

The Sheriff’s Department is reporting the victims of the crash were 51-year-old Todd Glen Lloyd and 38-year-old Christopher Neumann, both from Birmingham in metro Detroit.

One of them is the pilot of the plane but officials have not said which one.   The Petoskey News-Review reports that the crash took place about 500 yards off the nearest roadway.

Initial reports indicated that the airplane was heavily damaged in the crash, making it difficult for emergency crews to determine what kind of plane it is or even its tail number.

Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have been called in to investigate the crash.
