Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police say they discovered an active meth lab at a residence on Monday night.

Officers say they responded to a tip about the active meth lab cook at a home on Rock Street and went to the scene around 11:45pm along with detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.

UPSET detectives seized the lab and it’s related components.  One person was arrested during the investigation on domestic violence charges from a previous incident.

That person was lodged in the Marquette County Jail and is facing other potential charges connected to the meth lab seizure.

The name of the suspect has not been released at this time.
