Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette General Hospital in Marquette and Bell Hospital in Ishpeming are maintaining visitor restrictions to protect patients and staff from the spread of the flu.

The restrictions are in effect until further notice.

The hospitals are ordering only essential family visitors come to patient rooms.

Children under the age of 14 are not permitted to the hospital, unless for a medical appointment or an E-R visit.

In the Birthing Suites, visitors are limited to parents and grandparents.

At MGH, visitors to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are limited to parents.

At Bell, if you are visiting the hospital or the medical office building for an appointment, use the masks provided near the entrances.

And if you have any flu-like symptoms, stay home, and do not visit patients at either hospital.
