Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A water main break this morning in the Learning Resources Center at Northern Michigan University caused some flooding and problems with online and e-mail services on campus.
University officials closed the Learning Resources Center because of the water break until noon today.
Generators in the basement of the building that help to provide Internet and email access on campus were also impacted.
Due to the break and subsequent power outage, WNMU-TV is currently unable to broadcast on its main channel 13-1 and HD channel 13-2.
Station engineers are working to correct the problems caused by the power outage, but no information is available about when normal programming will resume.
