Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – He’s making it official, Governor Rick Snyder will announce Monday that he’s seeking a second term in office.

The governor will kick off a statewide announcement tour Monday with appearances in Detroit, Lansing and Grand Rapids. He is expected to visit Traverse City, Frankenmuth and Oakland Community College in Farmington Hills on Tuesday.

The tour follows the governor’s Super Bowl ad set to air on Sunday in areas around the state.

The first-term Republican entered the 2010 race with his “one tough nerd” ad that aired during the Super Bowl.

The Snyder Campaign announced earlier this week that the governor raised $5.1 million in the last year and has about $4 million in campaign cash on hand as he enters the 2014 election year.
