Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident early yesterday on County Road 480, about a mile east of M-553 in Sands Township.

The accident happened just before 8:00 a.m. when an eastbound 2013 Chevrolet sedan, driven by 19-year-old Molly Laurich of Harvey, went out of control on a left curve and began fishtailing.

Laurich attempted to correct the vehicle, but it went off of the right side of the road, struck a snowbank and rolled over, coming to rest on it’s wheels facing west on the south side of the road.

An unrelated 13 month old child was in the backseat of the vehicle and was properly restrained in a child car safety seat.

Laurich and the child were not injured in the crash.

No tickets were issued, but Laurich was found to be at fault for the accident.
