Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The National Weather Service Office in Negaunee Township has issued a Wind Chill Warning for the Central and Western U.P.

The warning is in effect from 3:00 am to Noon eastern time tomorrow.

Wind chills of 30 to 40 below zero are expected overnight tonight into Thursday.

Gusty northwest winds will also produce some blowing snow late near Lake Superior.  The blowing snow may reduce visibilities to a mile or less.

The Weather Service is encouraging everyone to dress appropriately for the cold as frostbite could occur on any exposed skin in 15 minutes or less tonight into tomorrow.
