Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Iron Mountain Post have released and update of their investigation into a fatal snowmobile accident that happened early Saturday morning in Dickinson County.
Troopers say 37-year-old Chad Schlenvogt of Port Washington, Wisconsin was killed when his snowmobile struck a guardrail on Pine Mountain Road in Breitung Township around 2:00 a.m. central time on Saturday.
Reports say it appears the snowmobile rolled over and ejected Schlenvogt.
Attempts to revive him failed and he was pronounced dead.
State Police say they will not be releasing any further information about the accident.
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
