One Injured In Marquette County Snowmobile Accident

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Excessive speed was believed to be a factor in a snowmobile accident in Marquette County Friday evening that injured one person.

Marquette County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the accident around 5:00 p.m. on DNR Trail #14 about six miles north of the Triple-A Road in Powell Township.

70-year-old John Conway of Hammond, Indiana was eastbound with a large group of snowmobilers when he failed to negotiate a curve and hit some trees.

He sustained injuries to his upper body and was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment.
