DNR and YMCA Team Up To Teach Class For Vets

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Michigan DNR is partnering with the Marquette County YMCA and NMU Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports to offer adaptive kayaking lessons for veterans with disabilities.

The sessions will run on four consecutive Thursdays starting March 13th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Physical Education and Instruction Facility pool on the NMU campus in Marquette.

The lessons are offered free of charge but space is limited. Pre-registration is required by calling the YMCA at 227-9622. Participants may sign up for a single or multiple sessions.
