Shooting In Palmer Injures One Man

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police from the Negaunee Post were called out to a residence in Palmer Saturday afternoon to investigate a shooting incident between two family members.

The incident happened around 12:35 p.m. when a firearm was discharged during an argument causing critical injury to one of the two men.

The victim was taken to Marquette General Hospital for emergency surgery, and at last report was in critical condition.

The other man was brought to the State Police post in Negaunee Township where he was later arrested on weapons related offenses.

No further information is being released until the investigation and charges have been reviewed by the Marquette County Prosecutor.
