Michigan’s Senior U.S. Senator, Carl Levin

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan’s Senior U.S. Senator will be in Marquette today to speak at Northern Michigan University.

Senator Carl Levin will give a presentation at the university titled “Public Service: The Heart of Democracy.”

The event begins at 1:30 p.m. in the Reynolds Recital Hall in the Hedgecock Building on campus.

Senator Levin, who was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1978 and reelected five times, recently announced his plans to retire at the end of his term.

The senator is visiting campus as part of the NMU President’s Critical Issues Conversations series.
