NMU Presidential Candidates To Visit Campus This Week

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Public forums have been scheduled for this week for on-campus visits by two of the four finalists for the Northern Michigan University presidency.

The candidates will give 5-7 minute presentations that address their interest in the NMU presidency and how their experience and credentials match the needs and vision of the university.

The first session will be tomorrow afternoon and features Cynthia Pemberton, provost and vice president for academic affairs and professor of education at Dickinson State University in Dickinson, N.D.

The second session will be on Thursday featuring Robert Ackerman, professor of law and former dean at the Wayne State University Law School in Detroit.

The forums will start at 4:00 p.m. in the Marquette/Nicolet Rooms of the University Center.  The remaining two candidates will be featured next week.
