MI Unemployment Numbers Up Regionally
Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State officials say seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates in February increased in 15 of the state’s 17 major labor market regions.
Only the Monroe and Flint areas recorded a decline in their jobless rate during the month, according to the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget.
The Ann Arbor area had the state’s lowest jobless rate in February at five-point-three percent while Northeast Lower Michigan had the highest at 14-point-one percent.
The U.P. rate was 10.8 percent.
The Marquette County rate was 8.4 percent.
Michigan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in February was 7.7 percent.
