Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette man has announced his intention to run for state Senate.

Adam Robarge says he will be formally announcing his candidacy for Michigan’s 38th District Senate seat at a community event tomorrow in Marquette.

Robarge, who is running as a Democrat against incumbent Republican Senator Tom Casperson of Escanaba, says he will use his campaign to take Michigan in a better direction.

Robarge says he wants to take his commitment to the U.P. to Lansing to work to bring tax relief to Michigan’s working families and create sustainable jobs that protect our natural resources.

The official announcement is being made at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Ore Dock Brewing Company Community Space at 114 W Spring St. in Marquette.
