Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – More winter weather is on the way for the west and central Upper Peninsula.

Winter Storm Warnings from Ironwood to Marquette go into effect this morning and run until noon tomorrow.

The National Weather Service says snow will move in over the north central U.P. this afternoon.

The snow may diminish this evening before more snow develops overnight tonight into Thursday morning.

Storm total accumulations will be over one foot over most of western Upper Michigan.

Lower snow totals are expected along the Lake Superior shoreline.

However, patchy blowing and drifting snow is possible tonight and tomorrow morning along the shore.
