Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) –  The Marquette Downtown Development Authority is continuing with efforts to redesign a portion of Baraga Avenue.

The D-D-A recently received a MI Place Plan initiative grant to assist with the redesigning process.

The Baraga Avenue project is focusing on the area from from Third Street to Lakeshore Boulevard.

The latest phase in the plan is hosting a series of public workshops to gather feedback on the preliminary design ideas developed from a recent visioning session.

These open to the public drop-in sessions will be on Tuesday, April 29th from 5:00pm-7:00pm and Wednesday, April 30th from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the Marquette Commons on South Third Street in Marquette.
