Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police say two downstate teenagers arrested for thousands of dollars worth of damage to homes and vehicles on Marquette’s east side been charged with multiple felony counts of malicious destruction of property.

Police say 19-year-old Mitchell Skiba of Alpena and 19-year-old Logan Beach of Presque Isle were arrested on April 14th in the 800 block of North Front Street after a report of a chair being thrown through the front window of the residence.

Investigating officers found more than 10 other homes and one vehicle had been damaged.

Police located three male suspects who were under the influence. After collecting evidence from the group, they were ticketed for Minors in Possession of Alcohol.

That evidence was then used to confirm the officer’s suspicion that the suspects were also responsible for all of the other reported damage on Marquette’s east side.

After further investigation, warrants were authorized for Skiba and Beach.

They have since been arraigned on a series of six felony and four misdemeanor counts.

Skiba was released on a $5,500 cash bond, but Beach is still lodged in the Marquette County Jail.
