U.P. Man Sentenced To Prison For Child Abuse

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette County man has been sentenced to prison in a child abuse case.

28-year-old Nicholas Racine of West Branch Township was sentenced in Marquette County Circuit Court to 12 to 30 years in prison in the case of a three month old infant that was severely injured.

Racine was arrested last June in connection with the investigation into the injuries to the infant.

He plead No Contest to a charge of 1st Degree Child Abuse, but later attempted to reverse his plea.

That motion was denied.

Racine received credit for 312 days served.
