Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette County man is formally announcing his run for the State House of Representatives at a pair of events tomorrow in Marquette and Munising.
Pete Mackin of Chocolay Township will officially announce his candidacy as a Republican for the 109th District seat currently held by Democrat incumbent John Kivela of Marquette.
Mackin will kick off his campaign at an event tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. at the Coachlight Restaurant in Marquette and a Noon luncheon at the Falling Rock Cafe in Munising.
Mackin says his campaign will be traveling across the District to meet community leaders and other local candidates throughout the day.
