M-DOT Launching U.P. Highway Projects Monday
Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) -The Michigan Department of Transportation will begin two highway resurfacing projects in the U.P. on Monday.
The first project will resurface 21.5 miles of northbound and southbound M-35 in Marquette County from the middle branch of the Escanaba River to County Road 480.
M-DOT says the project is expected to be completed in late July.
Also starting Monday, M-DOT will be will be resurfacing 7.9 miles of US-2 in Dickinson County from Kent Street in Iron Mountain to C Street in Norway. Sidewalk ramps also will be replaced.
This project is expected to be complete in mid-July.
Drivers can expect some delays during the effort due to some single-lane closures and traffic shifts under flag control.
