M-DOT Launches U.P. Road Projects

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Michigan Department of Transportation started two highway resurfacing projects in the U.P. today.

    The first project will resurface 21.5 miles of northbound and southbound M-35 in Marquette County from the middle branch of the Escanaba River to County Road 480.

    M-DOT says the project is expected to be completed in late July.  Also starting today, M-DOT is resurfacing 7.9 miles of US-2 in Dickinson County from Kent Street in Iron Mountain to C Street in Norway.

    Sidewalk ramps also will be replaced.  This project is expected to be complete in mid-July.
