Marquette Blood Center Has Critical Need

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The U.P. Regional Blood Center in Marquette has announced a critical need of A positive, B-positive, A-negative, and B-negative blood.

Blood Center officials say as the summer months are upon us, the need for blood is ongoing.  Sallie Coron, Blood Collection Coordinator says it is important that people continue to donate blood every 8 weeks to ensure the blood supply stays at target levels.

She adds that if you have not donated blood in the last 8 weeks, please take the time to give.

The U.P. Regional Blood Center in Marquette is located at 427 West College Avenue, adjacent to Marquette General Hospital.

Walk-ins are welcome.

For more information or to schedule an appointment call 225-4610 and their hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
