Be safe this holiday weekend!

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) - The Independence Day period is always loud, but since Michigan changed its fireworks law three years ago, it’s become even louder.  The new law allows louder and more powerful fireworks, although the loudest, such as M-80s and Cherry Bombs, remain illegal.  This year, the state has issued more than 700 permits for fireworks stores, and even more are pending approval.
