Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The investigation is continuing into an armed robbery of a downtown Escanaba business yesterday afternoon.
The People’s Drug Store on the 1200 block of Ludington Street was robbed by a man around 2:00 p.m. yesterday.
Authorities dispatched to the scene surrounded the building and closed off Ludington Street for several hours.
An eventual search of the building by police found that the suspect had been able to escape the scene of the crime.
At last report, the suspect remained at large and several area law enforcement agencies are following leads as to his whereabouts.
Escanaba Public Safety was assisted by the Delta County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police.
