Lansing, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates in April declined in all of the state’s 17 major labor market areas.

The Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget said the drop in unemployment is following traditional seasonal hiring trends.

The state rate for April was 4-point-3 down from 5-point-1 percent the previous month.

Upper Michigan had a rate of 6-point-5 percent for April while the rate for Marquette County was 5-point-4 percent.
