Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) - A 58-year-old Manistique man could spend the rest of his life in prison after allegedly stabbing a woman.

Thomas Becks was arraigned via video Wednesday afternoon on charges of attempted murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.

He’s accused of stabbing 31-year-old Theresa Gorney of Manistique late Monday night.  Beck is being held in Schoolcraft County Jail.  He will next be in court on August 11th.  There is no word yet on Gorney’s condition.
