Pure Michigan 400 Grand Marshals Announced

Jackson County, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan’s-own 2014 Olympic Champion ice dancing team of Meryl Davis and Charlie White will serve as the grand marshals for the NASCAR Spring Cup race next month at the Michigan International Speedway near Brooklyn in Jackson County.

White from Royal Oak and Davis of West Bloomfield will give the command of “start your engines” at the Pure Michigan 400 on August 17th.

The six-time U.S. Champions became the first-ever American ice dancing team to win Olympic gold when they claimed the top spot in Sochi, Russia.

White and Davis, both students at the University of Michigan,were recently named the grand marshals for the 88th America’s Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit.
