The state Republican party chair has accused the Democratic candidate for governor of flip  flopping on the Detroit bankruptcy issue, a charge the Mark Schauer campaign denies. On Tuesday, the former Battle Creek congressman indicated if he had been governor he would have probably placed Detroit in bankruptcy. But, Bobby Schostak says that not what Schauer said in an earlier conversion and has now changed his tune. The GOP chair says Schauer’s public comments are the absolute reverse of what’s been said behind closed doors as he is now saying he would have sent Detroit into bankruptcy.
